Top Trends of Fall Fashion Week 2017

In the Spring, we saw all the top trends of fall Fashion Week 2017. I’m most excited to see the shows from the New York Fashion Week in Fall 2017 because from year to year, I feel that this even presents the most wearable fashions. In the upcoming Fashion Weeks – like London, Milan, Paris and Miami Swim Fashion Week – there are a lot more Haute Couture and Avant Garde Fashions. Which are gorgeous no doubt, but beyond comfortable price points for most. New York Fashion Week in my opinion, creates the best street styles and mimic-able trends.

Below are my favorite Top Trends of Fall Fashion Week 2017:
Furs

Furs are always big in the colder months – and this fashion season is no different. However, we are going to see some different textures and many different colors of furs.

Some Fantastic pieces featured recently in Women’s Wear Daily:

RED

Like Tyra Banks always says you have to work it HTT (head to toe) – and currently, all red is where it’s at. This style has been seen across different runways during Fashion Week. It’s one of the top trending colors for fall. This is a bold statement – it’s for fashionistas that love to grab everyone’s attention.

Plaid & Gingham

These patterns always make a big comeback during the fall seasons. There’s a specific reason for that – what would Thanksgiving and all our favorite fall and winter holidays be without a little plaid. I mean, it’s like Christmas with no Christmas Tree. Black and White Gingham (in small and large print) are trending now – you can find this pattern at any of our favorite stores. Plaid is no different. One big trend for plaid was making the pattern jumbo (as can be seen below) – I wasn’t a big fan of plaid, but I love the huge plaid prints.

Metallic

Get ready for Silver, Gold and Shimmer (In love with these last 2 trends – because I love girly glam looks). Metallic’s are not just accents this season. Full looks, and major statement pieces are seen in all gold or silver. I think they can be perfectly timeless if the fit and style is perfect.

Textured Pieces

Feathers, Fringe, studs and bling are being added to bring clothing to life. Appliques of florals are also a big trend now. Feathered skirts, Boots with fringe and studded glitter on just about everything. I love a little something to keep my clothes from being boring.

As a blog named Plumage 59, we are loving all the feathers this year! Love your post on these fall trends! I’m covering New York Fashion Week, including last night’s The Daily Front Row Annual Fashion Awards, honoring Kendall Jenner and Mario Testino. I would love your thoughts–post goes up tomorrow.

I love all of these trends, but especially the reds and metallic colors! The metallic dresses are very Great Gatsby!
